    Sports Universities North East England (SUNEE) is a ground breaking, collaborative scheme of the non academic sports departments of the five North East universities: Durham, Newcastle, Northumbria, Sunderland and Teesside.

    The website is built upon a bespoke CMS, and developed using PHP/MySQL as well as utilising the JQuery Javascript framework.

    Youthoria is a portal website run by Cambridgeshire County Council aimed at youngsters, giving them information on what's going on around them, help and support, blogs, jobs search and much more.

    The website uses a bespoke CMS, and is built using PHP/MySQL, Smarty Template Engine, and incorporates JQuery and live Twitter feeds.

    A website following the government initiative, Positive Activities, aimed at getting young people to take part in organised activities in their region (Durham). The website has been a great success with young people in the area, and is kept up to date with blogs, competitions and podcasts.

    The website is built using PHP5/MySQL, Smarty Template Engine and utilises Google Maps, Postcode Anywhere (postcode lookup), Clickatell (SMS Gateway) as well as a custom built administration area.

    The Equality & Diversity Programme for Students is an online eLearning Course which aims to teach the importance of fairness and respect at university, and about how we can all benefit from being positive about peoples' differences.

    The website was built using PHP5/MySQL as well as utilising the JQuery Javascript framework and Ajax in order to create interactive learning modules. The modules included drag & drop exercises, multiple choice questions, sortable lists and more.

    OSCAR (Online Support for Candidates with Assessment Requirements) system, which was launched in early 2009, enables NVQ candidates to receive online support and undertake assessment.

    The easy-to-use OSCAR system allows candidates to carry out their assessment by producing a paperless portfolio and undertaking professional discussions by telephone.

    The system was built using PHP5/MySQL, JQuery and Ajax.

    Developed for One North East, SAM, is an intranet web application allowing their members to collaborate on various aspects of their work, through forums, commenting systems and member profiles.

    The site was built using PHP5/MySQL, JavaScript and includes RSS aggregation as well as automatic image processing.

    A complete re-built and improvement of an existing tool, the EQIA system is a web application that enables organisations to screen and assess policies to meet equality legislation requirements, as well as create final action plan reports.

    The website uses a custom built administration area and was built using PHP5/MySQL as well as utilising the JQuery Javascript framework and Ajax.

Welcome to the Portfolio

Over the years I have worked on a number of projects, both big and small. The most recent projects can be seem in the panel above, and older projects can be found in the "Past Projects" section.

Being a developer, and not a designer, I cannot take credit for some of the visually stunning designs, but working with these talented designers, have created websites to the highest standard and compliance - without compromising on functionality.

I will be adding more and more projects to the portfolio, so please keep checking back.
